About fricking time!
Big cellphone makers including Apple reached a deal with the European Union to start selling universal cellphone chargers starting next year. Most of the big cellphone makes include LG, Motorola, Nokia, Research In Motion, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
I think that’s so great because I’m sick of buying different chargers for every new phone that i get. I’m a bit surprised that Apple is included. It’s most unlikely that Apple will release a new phone to be compatible with the universal chargers which will use micro-USB. It’s more likely Apple will work with third party players to make use of the chargers.
As of right now, the universal chargers will only be compatible with European cell phones. Guess you have to wait your turn North American and Asia.
