The Big Bully On The Block: Apple Rejects Google Voice App (Updated)

Another one bites the dust. Apple officially rejected the Google Voice App on the basis that the app “duplicated some of apple’s features”.

This is not the first time Apple has rejected apps for “jacking” Apple’s style. There’s word that AT&T might have been involved in the removal of the app.

Right now, Google is trying to find a way to work around the situation.

This is the reason why people choose to workaround stuff like this by jailbreaking their phones. This particular situation is why people will continue to hate AT&T and the restrictions that come to apps on the iPhone.

When Android gets this app, believe me, Android users will be rejoicing. The more I use my iPhone, the more I realize how both AT&T and Apple simply have this device on ball and chain.

I’m in the process of looking for another phone (and maybe another network). Any suggestions?

Looks like Google Voice App has gone to Cydia. For you iPhone fans, to get the app, you need to jailbreak your phone. Don’t fret, Google is currently working on a web app for Google Voice, just like Google Latitude
