Sometime last month, Microsoft trademarked the name Oneapp. Some thought this could possibly the apps marketplace for their soon to be released Zune HD. On the contrary, the OneApp is actually intended for feature phones. Smartphones have been getting all the love and Microsoft decided to show love for the other phones.
The OneApp is currently deploying in emerging markets and is cloud based. Right now, it’s up and running in South Africa’s Telecom Network. Subcribers of the network can have access to applications like facebook and twitter as well as Live messenger.
Not a bad move. It’s too bad about the no apps on the Zune HD. Or is it? (Apps on Zune HD?)
