Cool is the word to describe it. Bing today rolled up a beta of a new visual search for their search engine. I have to say that it definitely brings something to the table in terms of how search is done. First and foremost, the visual search uses Silverlight technology which I think is going to be big in the coming years.
Microsoft said that the added feature of visual search doesn’t necessarily mean that this is Bing 2.o. If that’s the case, expect more features to be added when Microsoft finalizes and rolls out these features later in the fall.
It’s good to see Microsoft try something different with it’s search engine.
