Comcast Buys NBC, Dark Days Ahead For Hulu?

Today, Comcast sealed the deal and officially acquired NBC. The folks at Comcast are pretty excited but for we regular consumers, why does this really mean.

I think that you could possibly kiss NBC shows you watch on Hulu goodbye. Streaming shows for free on the internet? Now way that’s going to fly with Comcast. I think they rather for you pay for some of it’s shows than let regular people like you and me watch for free.

As far as online distribution on iTunes and Zune Marketplace, it’s safe to say it will be business as usual.

Something about a cable company like Comcast having a stake in a network studio just doesn’t fly. Or maybe I’m just paranoid. Or am I?
