Direct Deposit: ExpressPay Now Has The Option To Directly Transfer Funds To Bank Accounts

This morning, my ExpressPay app got an update. After it updated, I signed in and found a new option on the menu bar. There’s now a “Transfer” option available.

ExpressPay is a mobile app where users in Ghana can make various money transactions including purchasing of Mobile Airtime credit, paying internet bills (Surfline, Vodafone), ECG payment..etc.

With this new “Transfer” option, users can now send money with Mobile Money providers including Vodafone and MTN. Users can also select “Bank Direct” which allows you to send funds to someone’s bank account directly.

When you select the “Bank Direct” option, you’re provided with a list of available banks where you can send funds directly. The list also shows “Instant” or “Next Day” to indicate how quickly the recipient would receive the funds.

It’s a useful update to the ExpressPay app. I’m a fan of simplifying my banking process. Going to the banking hall to make simple things like transferring funds to someone else’s account shouldn’t be a lengthy process (Especially when you factor in the traffic).

You can check out the ExpressPay app on the Google Playstore if you’re on Android or on the iOS App store
