Microsoft Xbox Live “Probably” Estimated To Be Worth $1 Billion; What Have You Done Lately?

Love them or hate them, Microsoft always seems to find a way to make money. Critics like to put them down and call them “uncool” and “un-trendy”.

Well, it looks like Microsoft might be laughing its way to the bank because Bloomberg estimates that the Xbox Live service is worth a $1 billion. Everything from Avatar items, arcades games, add-ons and so on all contribute to that huge number.

A lot of people have knocked Microsoft have charging the $50 fee for its Gold membership service which charges for multiplayer. That formula seems to work.

Looks like Sony saw those numbers and decided to come up with their own Xbox Live service, Playstation Plus. Can you blame them?
